You can learn every role on event day — but if you'd rather walk in already confident, we run training sessions through the season: hands-on time with the game, the field, the tablets, and the role guides, led by experienced volunteers.
What a session covers
- The season's game and how a match runs
- Your role's flow, hands-on — queuing a match, resetting a field, running an inspection checklist, counting a score
- The escalation habits that make events run smoothly (when in doubt: ask your lead)
Training is especially worth it for scorekeeper referees and anyone eyeing the referee track — pair it with the official certification.
Finding one
Training sessions appear on our events calendar alongside tournaments and camps. They're scheduled most heavily in the run-up to the season's first events.
Can't make one?
No problem. Every role has a written guide, every area has a lead on event day, and arriving a little early your first time gives you space to get shown around.
