Storing the VEX IQ game elements

How this season's VEX IQ game elements are packed into their boxes for the trailer.

Every game element has a box, and the next event depends on it being in there. A missing bean bag or pyramid level isn't noticed until someone is building a field and comes up short.

The pyramid corners

Each field's red and blue pyramid corners travel together in one box, standing on edge so they can't slide around.

A cardboard box holding a set of pyramid corner pieces standing on edge

  1. One field's set per box. Don't split a set across boxes or mix two sets.
  2. Stand the pieces on edge, packed snugly, as in the photo.
  3. Close the box and keep it upright.

Bean bags and the other elements

Each field's bean bags go in their own drawstring bag, and the bags travel in the trailer.

A field's set of bean bags laid out beside their drawstring bag: 16 red, 16 blue and 6 yellow

  • Count them in: 16 red, 16 blue and 6 yellow per bag. If a bag is short, check under and around the field before you pack it.
  • One bag per field. Don't top one bag up from another.
  • Keep each field's elements together, so a field can be set up from one set of boxes.

When you're done

The boxes go onto the cart, and the cart goes to the trailer. See loading the VEX IQ trailer.
