Open Volunteer Signup. It lists the upcoming events that are looking for volunteers; pick one to see its signup page.
Claim a shift
An event's signup page lists its shifts. Sign up for the ones you want — a typical shift is 2 to 4 hours, and some roles (like judging) run all day. You can work one shift and enjoy the rest of the event, or stack a few.
Why events list different roles
Each event's organizer (the Event Partner) decides which roles their tournament needs and how many of each — a small scrimmage staffs differently than a State Championship. So the roles you see vary from event to event; that's by design.
