With the Gross Catholic VEX IQ Tournament and the 2024 Nebraska VEX IQ State Championship approaching, gainingSTEAM invited coaches and parents to a volunteer training session to prepare for both events.

The training session was designed to equip volunteers with all the information and skills needed to run quality robotics tournaments. gainingSTEAM aimed to build a team of over 40 volunteers for each event.
Why Volunteer?
Volunteering at a VEX IQ tournament is more than lending a hand — it's about enhancing students' educational experience, nurturing community, and contributing to something meaningful. Volunteers play a direct role in making each match, each judging session, and each award moment possible for the students on the field.
No prior experience was required for most volunteer roles.
