With the VEX IQ tournament at Gross Catholic High School approaching, teams and coaches received a few important updates ahead of the event.

Electronic Notebook Submission — First Year

This tournament marked the first time the Nebraska VEX IQ program transitioned to electronic engineering notebook submissions. Teams submitted their notebooks digitally by January 24th via the "My Account" panel in their team contact on RobotEvents.com. Notebooks would be reviewed before the event, with the initial evaluation happening digitally.

Submission deadline: Wednesday, January 24th, 11:59 PM

For step-by-step guidance, the REC Foundation's help article "How to Submit a VIQRC Digital Engineering Notebook" walked coaches through the process.

In-Person Interviews

Even with electronic submission, in-person team interviews were still part of the judging process at the event. Judges met with teams on competition day to discuss their engineering process, design decisions, and STEM research. Only the Engineering Notebook needed to be submitted electronically before the tournament.

Full judging details were available in the VEX Guide to Judging.

Volunteers Needed

Each program was asked to provide 3–5 volunteers to help the event run smoothly and create a quality experience for student competitors. Volunteers could sign up via the event volunteer signup link.
