The Iowa / Nebraska VEX IQ Regional Championship for the 2018-19 Next Level season was held on Saturday, February 9th. Elementary and Middle School students from Iowa and Nebraska competed in the Next Level Challenge, with top teams earning qualification spots for the VEX IQ World Championship.
Qualification
All registered VEX IQ teams in Iowa and Nebraska were qualified for the Regional Championship. No additional qualification was required.

Registration opened for both divisions separately on RobotEvents.com:
- Middle School — Iowa / Nebraska VEX IQ Regional Championship
- Elementary — Iowa / Nebraska VEX IQ Regional Championship
Coaches were encouraged to register as early as possible.
STEM Research Presentations
The STEM Research Award was presented at the Regional Championship. Teams submitted video presentations by February 5th using the online video submission form. The presentation and follow-up discussion with judges were evaluated using the STEM Research Project Rubric.
About the Next Level Challenge
In the Next Level game, teams competed on a 6' × 8' field, stacking hubs to score points in both Teamwork Challenge matches and Robot Skills runs. Alliance teamwork and coordinated strategy were essential to topping the leaderboard in this season's challenge.
